Rally Cow, explained
Seven Ayurvedic botanicals
TL;DR
Rally Cow combines seven botanicals from Ayurveda — date palm, turmeric, andrographis, chicory, grape and two kinds of phyllanthus — traditionally used to support the liver and antioxidant defenses. Honest take: no supplement has been proven to prevent hangovers. Water, food and pacing yourself matter far more.

How it works
- 1
Drink
The liver turns alcohol into acetaldehyde, a toxic by-product, then into acetate.
- 2
Stress
Normal alcohol metabolism creates oxidative stress.
- 3
Botanicals
Curcumin, grape polyphenols and phyllanthus compounds act as antioxidants in lab studies.
- 4
Support
Traditional use: supporting normal liver function.*

Basics
Hydration, food and sleep do the heavy lifting.
What's in it
Turmeric's curcumin is one of the most-studied plant antioxidants, with reviews describing anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects in humans, although it's poorly absorbed on its own. Phyllanthus niruri and Phyllanthus emblica (amla) are Ayurvedic herbs traditionally used for liver support; amla is also rich in vitamin C. Andrographis, chicory and grape seed round out the antioxidant profile, and date palm is a traditional restorative.
What the evidence does — and doesn't — say
A BMJ systematic review of hangover remedies concluded there's no compelling evidence any supplement prevents or treats hangovers. We agree, which is why Rally Cow is positioned as support for your body's own processes, not a cure. The doses are small (15–20 mg per botanical), in a strip you can take before you head out.
What actually works: alternate drinks with water, eat beforehand, choose lighter-colored drinks, and get some sleep.
Our dose vs. the research
- Turmeric (Curcuma longa)20 mg
| Compound | Mootropic | Studied range |
|---|---|---|
| Turmeric (Curcuma longa) | 20 mg | 500–2,000 mg curcumin in most trials |
| Date palm (Phoenix dactylifera) | 20 mg | Traditional use; limited human data |
| Andrographis, chicory, grape, 2× phyllanthus | 15 mg each | Traditional use; mostly lab and animal data |
⏰ When to take it
- One strip before you go out.
- Max 1 strip a day — and drink water.
👍 Great for
- Weddings, birthdays and festival weekends
- Travel
- A pocket-size pre-party ritual
⚠️ Cautions
- Not a hangover cure, and it doesn't make it safe to drink and drive.
- Turmeric and grape extracts may interact with blood thinners; andrographis may interact with blood-pressure and immune-suppressing medication.
- Not for use if pregnant, nursing or under 21.
