Colostrum: the original cow superfood
TL;DR
Bovine colostrum is the first milk a cow produces after giving birth. It's dense with immunoglobulins (especially IgG), lactoferrin and growth factors that help maintain normal gut barrier function, including during intense exercise.*

How it works
- 1
Ingest
IgG, lactoferrin, IGF-1 and TGF-β arrive in the gut.
- 2
Local
IgG works locally in the gut to support normal immune function.*
- 3
Renew
Growth factors support normal turnover of intestinal lining cells.*
- 4
Barrier
Supports normal gut barrier function.*
- 5
Thrive
Supports digestive wellness and a balanced immune response.*
What makes colostrum special
For a newborn calf, colostrum is the entire immune system starter pack — calves are born without antibodies and absorb them from colostrum. Bovine colostrum contains 20–50× more IgG than regular milk.
For adults, those antibodies aren't absorbed into the blood — they work locally in the digestive tract, supporting the gut lining.* Our colostrum is standardized to 25% IgG and collected only after calves have been fed.
Gut permeability
Your intestinal lining is a single cell layer held together by 'tight junctions'. Intense exercise and heat put that barrier to work.
In studies with athletes, colostrum helped maintain normal gut barrier function during intense exercise and heat.*
